The Classic Birch with a Cold Hardy, Colorful Twist
Why Royal FrostĀ® Birch Trees?
Vibrant purple foliage meets eye-catching exfoliating bark, making the Royal FrostĀ® unlike any other. And since it boasts an upright, pyramidal habit, it’s truly one-of-a-kind when it comes to your typical shade tree.
This lush tree offers vivid perks from season to season, making it even better. The sleek white bark during the winter months means nearly year-round visual interest, despite its deciduous nature.
Burgundy foliage emerges in the springtime, transitioning to deep purple and changing again to dramatic dark red in the winter. That means you get a showy tree that delights year-round, transforming drab wintry yards to landscapes worthy of front-page features.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a location for your Royal FrostĀ® Birch Tree with full sun to partial shade (meaning the location receives at least 4 to 8 hours of sunlight each day). Also, the planting areaās soil should be somewhat moist though still well-drained.
When youāre ready to plant, start by digging a hole thatās at least two to three times the size of your treeās root ball. After placing your Birch Tree, backfill the soil, tamp down to ensure air pockets are eliminated, and water.
2. Watering: Because the Royal FrostĀ® Birch Tree needs consistently moist soil, itās important to water weekly or consider using a soaker hose or bark mulch. The root zone for your tree should be cool and moist, but it does tolerate some dryness in the soil.
3. Pruning: The Royal FrostĀ® Birch Tree needs very little pruning, but if pruning is necessary for your landscape, prune it during the dormant season.
